Cost of Sponsorship of one child's education for a year:

For grades 1 - 9 your sponsorship provides school fees, school lunches, 2 short sleeved shirts, 2 pairs of shorts/skirts, a pair of plastic sandals, a school bag and stationary. A local tailor will make the shirts from material bought by the CRT.

For grades 10 - 12 your sponsorship provides school fees, food, uniform and bedding.

We hope that once you have begun your sponsorship you will continue it until your child is at least through Primary School. We ask that you do not send money or gifts directly to your child as even a small gift would, by our standards, be of exaggerated value to them. There is also the danger that some would receive more than others. However, the main danger would be that the children may be tempted to see their benefactors as a means of acquiring gifts and we do not want to create a begging culture. If you feel you would like to do more then please consider donating to the school or community as a whole through the CRT so that all the pupils and their families might benefit.

On receipt of your payment you will receive a colour photograph(s) of your sponsored child/children and provided you keep up your sponsorship, you will continue to receive, each year thereafter, up to date photos of him/her plus, twice a year, the School newsletter. Your child should write to you at least once a year. The Scheme is run entirely by volunteers as a part of the CRT's education programme; this keeps the administration costs to a minimum.

If you are unable to make the commitment to sponsor a child through several years of education you could still make a one off donation towards the much needed improvement and equipping of the school.

Payment

School Sponsorship Scheme accepts payments by either cheque, standing order or credit card (Mastercard or Visa only). The sponsorship form contains a section for each payment method.

	Make your donations work harder
	Use Gift Aid and you can make your donation worth more. For every pound you give to us, we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. Please be sure to tick the 'OK to reclaim tax under Gift Aid' box within the sponsorship form if you qualify.
	To qualify for Gift Aid, you must be a UK tax payer and what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year.
